Walking briskly on a daily basis not only results in calorie burning, it increases enzyme and metabolic activity that may result in increased calorie consumption for up to 12 hours after walking as little as 2 miles the more conditioned you are, the greater the metabolic effect of walking.

hydrate_andy_ashtonTo be properly hydrated you must drink water, not coffee, tea, juice or other commercial drinks. These are often dehydrating agents, or have a high enough solute content that they act as foods in the body.

To determine how much water YOUR body needs to drink per day in litres take your body weight in Kg and multiply it by 0.033, (e.g an 80kg person would need to consume around 2.7 litres of quality water per day), or drink half of your body weight in ounces daily (e.g if you weigh 180lbs you would need approxiamately 90 ounces of water daily).
